Ocean Explorer
Nigel Sitwell is a British writer and editor specialising in travel and natural history. His journalistic career ranges from four years as a reporter on the Montreal Gazette (where he was a regular contributor to the weekly book review pages) to 16 years as editor of the British magazine Wildlife. He has written articles for magazines as diverse as Reader’s Digest, the Smithsonion magazine, and several in-flight magazines.
As a traveller, Nigel has visited nearly 100 countries in the course of leading a variety of tours and expedition cruises. He has worked as Expedition Leader on small ships such as the Explorer (which sadly sank in 2007), Sea Cloud, Star Flyer, Caledonian Star (now renamed the National Geographic Endeavour), and Alla Tarasova, as well as larger vessels such as the Ocean Princess and Marco Polo.
