This journey offers adventure around each point, and with the maneuverability and flexibility of your yacht, you'll find the hidden delights of Alaska from Juneau to Prince Rupert. For starters, your voyage is dotted with historic treasures like Creek Street, Ketchikan's famous boardwalk. On-board, you sail the full length of magnificent Tracy Arm, and watch for humpbacks enjoying their summer feeding in Frederick Sound. Kayak in the secluded coves and experience the thrill of weaving amongst iceburgs in inflatable Zodiacs.

Itinerary

Days 4-5: Alaskan Towns and Passages

You'll discover Alaska's people and culture during your visits to Petersburg and Meyer's Chuck, learning from local experts and residents as you go. Your Expedition Leader will guide you into the rainforest on a nature walk, and you'll have ample opporunties for kayaking in pristine wilderness coves and passages.

Day 9: Prince Rupert, B.C.

Arrive in Prince Rupert, B.C. after breakfast this morning, and transfer to the airport for connections home.

Day 6: Misty Fjords National Monument

This morning, you journey into one of the most inspiring places on your route: Misty Fjords National Monument. You will comb the shoreline, hemmed in by 3,000 foot sheer granite cliffs, searching for Tlingit pictographs on the rocks, and listen for whistling bald eagles, popular residents of this area. The wildlife of Misty Fjords ranges from brown and black bears to harbor seals and deer, so have your binoculars ready! Your Expedition Leader will be at your side, ready to point out all the wonders of this magnificent area. Later, on you will find a quiet nook in Misty Fjords to anchor for the night.

Days 2-3: Glaciers and Whales

Come face to face with massive glaciers and floating icebergs in Alaska's majestic fjords. Watch for mountain goats, bears and harbor seals, and make sure to join your Expedition Leader on deck as you search for whales and porpoise.

Day 1: Sail from Juneau

Welcome to Juneau. You?ll be met at the airport, and after a city and glacier tour you?ll be transferred to your yacht. Relax on board with hors d'oeuvres and your favorite cocktail, followed by dinner, fine wine and a chance to meet your new shipmates.

Days 7-8: Ketchikan and Wilderness

Upon arriving in Ketchikan, you'll enjoy a very special, private tour of Saxman Village, a Tlingit Indian community, with local tribal member Joe Williams. Explore a clan house and discover the stories behind the totem poles that line the avenues. Back onboard, recline on deck as you cruise among forested islands and scenic passages. You'll anchor in a quiet cove, kayak and simply relax during your final day's journey. Relive the experiences of your trip during a festive Farewell Dinner.
